Hi, I'm Lauren
I am an Instructional Designer
I am an Instructional Designer who brings more than a decade of classroom teaching experience to the table.  I am a life-long learner and educator who has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Temple University and a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from Wilmington University.  I use pedagogically informed design to scaffold unique and impactful learning experiences.

My career has always been focused on and related to education even though what and how I teach has changed over the years.  Over the course of my 13 year career, I have coached and trained fellow teachers, developed countless objectives and assessments, and designed both school-wide curricula and classroom activities that accommodate for the different learning styles and diverse backgrounds of my students.  I am an expert at breaking down difficult concepts and tasks into more understandable and manageable pieces and then building understanding back up from there.

My journey to becoming an instructional designer has been one of organic personal and professional growth. My desire to learn and grow pushes me into new and different spaces where I’m able to adapt the various instructional techniques that I’ve picked up over the course of my career.  These research-based practices have allowed me to effectively help both adult and youth students no matter their background or experience.  Instructional design has allowed me to merge my teaching expertise with my creative spirit, my love of collaboration, and my attention to detail.

On any given day I can be found in the kitchen cooking for loved ones, practicing martial arts, hiking to a waterfall in a forign country, or taking a walk with my husband and my energetic husky pup around the streets of Philadelphia.
